Reporting to the Engineering Manager the Electrical Engineering Technologist is responsible for: Conducting field inspections at different customer facilities. Collect and review drawings and manufacturer specifications. Conduct and document risk assessments. Inform clients of the recommendations and actions required to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards are met. Inspect equipment for compliance. Test machinery for ability to perform safety functions. Prepare final reports.
Ideal Candidates Will Possess:
A diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited Canadian College. Experience in the fields of controls, automation, industrial manufacturing or process is considered an asset. Knowledge of various safety PLC programs including knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, CSA Standards for Safety of Machinery and Workplace Electrical Safety are an asset. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal abilities and willingness to work independently and in a team atmosphere. High degree of problem solving and decision making skill. Valid Canadian passport and drivers licence.

Review draft reports using supporting documentation provided with each report. Collect and review drawings and manufacturer specifications. Inform clients of the recommendations and action required to correct for compliance.
Ideal Candidates Will Possess:
A bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited Canadian University. 3-5 years of experience in the fields of controls, automation, industrial manufacturing or process. Professional Engineer of Ontario designation. Experience in design of electrical safety circuits and knowledge of various safety PLC programs including knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, CSA Standards for Safety of Machinery and Workplace Electrical Safety are also required. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal abilities and willingness to work independently and in a team atmosphere. High degree of problem solving and decision making skills. Valid Canadian passport and drivers licence.
